Logan Van Beek is versatile in many ways. As a cricketer, he likens his match to that of Shane Watson the great Australian all-rounder, he also represented New Zealand Cricket at the Under-19 World Basketball Championship in 2009 and he works with as a sports coach. Named in the New Zealand squad for the 2010 under-19 World Cup, van Beek is the grandson of Sammy Guillen, who played Test cricket for the West Indies and New Zealand.
